Who We Are
Welcome to Equus Sur! We are a Rescue and Rehabilitation center for equines. Horses that show potential during rehab can graduate into our performance riding program. Based on their health, work ethic and willingness to learn, they move into our training and outbacking programs.
Our community-based work focuses on preventative care, emergency treatment and regenerative cultures. We provide a safe haven to abandoned, injured or abused horses and focus on empowering horse owners with the skills and resources they need to better care for their own herd.
OUR SERVICES
RESCUE & REHABILITATION
We provide a full range of rescue and rehab services like emergency field rescue, portable wound care kits for locals, free veterinary and ferrier clinics, and a variety of public programming to advocate and protect animal welfare. Some of our programs include: preventative care 101, halters not neck ropes, subsidized nutritional support and more.
PERFORMANCE TRAINING
We offer private & semi-private horseback riding sessions for both Youth & Adults spanning beginner to advanced levels and a broad range of performance disciplines. We will help you craft your skills in the world of performance riding and take you to the top with patience and commitment.
PERFORMANCE COACHING
We live and breathe high level performance and we understand the ebb and flow of the energy that sustains it. We know that everybody can use a coach sometimes to tackle the pain and resistance that it can sometimes produce, and what it takes to keep it clear and moving forward with ease. We’re here for that. No horse experience needed.
OUTBACKING EXPERIENCES
Join us for restorative experiences to refill and recharge your spirit. Enjoy an unforgettable horseback ride on our stunning beaches at sunset. Discover the unique beauty of the Baja arroyo and desert. Or journey to the world-renowned Green Room for an exquisite experience . Please join us as we explore the wonders of Baja with our amazing herd of rescues.
